Vegan Chocolate Chip Frapp

On 2 August, 2012 by Jackie

I think working two jobs all summer long has finally taken its toll on me. Today started off great and completely fine, and then my last customer at work just put me in a bad mood.  It wasn’t completely their fault; I was starting to become starving for lunch and a little cranky with my hunger.  So once I got home from work I needed a pick me up.  Something to satisfy my sweet tooth, refresh me, and give me a nice boost for the evening.   My solution was a chocolate chip frappuccino with leftover coffee in the pot from this morning!

To make a single serving of this delicious drink, follow the recipe below that I adapted from something I saw on Pintrest.  Unfortunately when I followed the link I found it did not lead any where but a deleted blog.  So if you know the originator of this recipe let me know!

What you will need:

  • 1/2 Cup cold coffee
  • 1/2 Cup almond (or non-dairy) milk
  • 1/3 Cup chocolate chips; I use Enjoy Life Chocolate Mini Chips, they are amazing!
  • 3 Tablespoons Hersey’s chocolate syrup
  • 2 Cups ice
  • 1/8 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: dairy free whip cream

Blend all ingredients on a blender and pour into cup.  Top with dairy free whip cream, chocolate syrup, or more chocolate chips! This is pretty simple to make but delicious.  It was a little bit too sweet for me towards the ends but the cold drink was just what I needed!
