Straw Circle Nails

I have been trying to come up with a new ways to do my nails with really no great ideas.  I guess i have hit a creative wall of sorts.  I saw this design long ago online, probably a find on Pintrest or Google.  But I have been wanting to try it for some time.

I think it came out a little weird, definitely as great as the photo I saw before.  I think my straw was too big; a small coffee or stir straw would work perfect!

What you will need:

  • 1 Base color
  • 2 or 3 Accent colors
  • Straw
  • Paper Plate
  • Scissors

Paint nails with base color and allow to fully dry.  Pour some polish on paper plate; a small drop should be plenty.  (Excuse my leftover Easter paper plate!)

Dip end of straw in polish puddle.  Just enough polish to cover ends.  You may need to bow through other end of straw to get rid of bubble in the middle.  I had this problem at first and got a huge drop! Touch straw to nail in desired location.  Continue until done with color.

Using a second color, pour other polish on paper plate.  Cut end of straw already used off with scissors to give a clean end to use.  Dip in polish again and repeat until happy with nails!
