Ever feel like you are stuck in a salty mood.  You don’t want Chocolate, you don’t want sugar… You just want something salty and crunchy.  Well if that is your current state of mind you will like this Chex Mix.  I found the recipe on dear Betty Crocker’s website.

What you need:

  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups cheese it crackers
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 cups kettle-cooked salt and vinegar potato chips

In large microwavable bowl, make sure it fits in the microwave, mix cereals and crackers; set aside.

In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 45 seconds or until melted. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder and onion powder. Pour over cereal mixture; gently stir until evenly coated.

Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on parchment paper to cool, about 15 minutes. In large gallon size zippy bag, gently toss together cereal mixture and potato chips. Store in airtight container.

I hope this salty snack hits the spot!  Just remember to grab a drink…
