Mini Cinnamon Apple Pie

On 16 April, 2012 by Nicole

For Easter dessert my husbands grandmother made mini apple pies.  She made hers with biscuits and sliced apples.  Today I decided to recreate them with Pillsbury Reduced Fat Cinnamon Rolls.

First slice an apple thinly into small slivers.

Roll out cinnamon rolls in a flat circle with a rolling-pin.  The reduced fat cinnamon rolls are very similar to biscuits and more easy to use than regular cinnamon rolls.  I recommend using the reduced fat cinnamon rolls to make your life easier.

Place apples on one half of the rounded dough.  The package makes 8 mini pies so I put Nutella in a couple and marshmallows in some others.

Fold the dough over the apples and press down the edges.  Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 13 minutes at 375°.  Remove from oven and add icing.   This little treat is very similar to the Nutella Pockets I made a while back.  As I said with those be creative and enjoy!
