Easy French Tip Nails

On a recent trip down the makeup aisle at CVS I found these Nailene Perfect Tips stickers. I recently used reinforcements to do my nails (You can find that here) but these seemed easier and I wanted to try them out. They are under $3 and pretty easy to use. Here is my attempt at some colored French tips.
- Desired nail polish color
- Perfect Tips stickers
- Glitter nail polish
- Nail polish remover
- Small brush
- Top Coat
Place Perfect Tips stickers on all nails of one hand, exposing tips. It is easier to do one hand at a time. (I did my left hand fully, and then did my right)
Pain first coat of polish on tips of nails. Allow to dry for about 5 minutes. Apply second coat and allow to dry for another 5 minutes.
Once polish is completely dry apply glitter polish on top of color; allow to dry again. Gently remove stickers from nails. (Some touch ups may be needed) Then proceed to do other hand.
If any polish went under the stickers and messed up the design it can easily be removed by dipping a brush in nail polish remover. Gently and carefully remove unwanted polish. (This photo if from a different post, but it is the same procedure)
Run nails under cold water to finish drying. Pat dry with a towel. Apply top coat. Allow to dry and you’re done!
Things I learned:
- I should have put the strips down my nail more to expose more nail to be painted at the tip
- Large chunks of glitter was hard to work with. I liked the look, but smaller glitter pieces would have been better.
- I took a shower after I painted my nails and they obviously did not have enough time to drip and got a little messed up. Oops!
There are so many things that you can do with these. I found a ton of ideas on Google when I looked up the name of the stickers. If you try anything with them let me know about it!
