Dotted Nails
For some self pampering today I decided to paint my nails. I am no artist, so please don’t judge me too hard! It’s a basic idea but I figured I would share anyway. Please excuse me for posting picture of my feet, I know feet aren’t very pretty to look at!
You will need:
- 2 colors nail polish
- Paper plate
- Toothpick
- Top coat
Start off my painting nails a basic color. I went with black. Take the other color you will use for dots and drip a few nail polish drops out of bottle and onto paper plate. Lightly dip toothpick’s end into the polish.
Very lightly tap end of toothpick onto nail. Continue until you get a design you want. Allow to dry and top with a top coat. That simple!
Also, you may notice that I have a tendency to get nail polish on my skin. Unlike most people I don’t really care about this. My little secret is I paint my nails at night or right before I take a shower. At the end of the shower, when your skin is soft, you can use a wash cloth to gently wipe any polish off of your skin. It is much easier than using nail polish remover and doesn’t ruin your nails! My other tip is if you are like me and put too much polish on your nails it takes a long time to dry. Run your nails under cold water; the polish dries almost instantly. Makes life easier!
If you are come up with other ideas for nails like this I would love to see it! Post a comment so we can check it out.
