Cinnamon Sugar Rolls
I have a massive sweet tooth. This past Saturday I woke up craving donuts, but being vegan that means I have to make them myself…not as fun. It is no secret I am a little lazy so I like to cook food that is fast and delicious. For Christmas dinner last year I made these rolls for dessert for my family, and I love cinnamon and sugar so I decided to make these rolls for breakfast on Saturday. It is a wonderful idea to hit any sweet tooth!
What you will need:
- 1 container of crescent rolls (Pillsbury works, but be sure to check the label to be sure it is vegan)
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
- Dairy free butter or margarine
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon until an even mixture is created.
Open crescent roll container (it should pop open) and lay out dough on a cutting board. Dough usually has 8 triangles cut into it that can be ripped apart to make rolls. Using a knife, add a thin layer of butter to inside of rolls. Using a spoon, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over butter. The butter will help cinnamon sugar to stick to crescent dough.
Cover all dough in same way. Once cinnamon sugar mixture is on dough its time to make rolls. Starting from the fattest point in the triangle, being tightly rolling down to the point of the triangle.
Shape sides inward to make a crescent shape and place on a cookie sheet.
Lay all rolls on cookie sheet and cook at 350 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes. Rolls are done when they are lightly golden.
