DIY Bow & Spike Bracelet

On 4 September, 2012 by Jackie

This past weekend I did a little shopping a Michael’s for some inspiration on a necklace I wanted to make.  I came across this chain with spikes and decided to go a new way with a different project.  Well it wasn’t exactly the necklace I had in mind, but I still like it!

What you will need:

  • Chain; I used a chain that came with spikes but any chain will work
  • Jewelry pliers
  • Jump rings
  • Bracelet clasps
  • Charms

Start by measuring length of chain to make sure it fits wrist, then cut if necessary.  To   attach a jump ring, use the pliers to gently slide the two end of the jump ring apart as shown in picture.  Place jump ring on chain of bracelet where desired and attach any charms wanted.  Close jump ring by sliding ends together again.

Attach a jump ring on both ends of bracelet chain and attach a clasp to one ring; the other ring  will serve as the other end of the clasp to attach to when wearing bracelet.  Try on jewelry to make sure it is the correct length and fit!
